We are looking for a collaborative team player to come join our team as a Recruiter.  As a key member of a dedicated recruitment team for the City of Vancouver, the Recruiter leads the end to end recruitment process for a spectrum of positions throughout the City. 

In partnership with department Hiring Managers the Recruiter develops the recruitment strategy and conducts sourcing activities to identify, engage and recruit top talent for the hiring manager’s consideration.  In partnership with the Hiring Manager, the Recruiter facilitates the screening, selection, hiring and offer negotiation process.  Managing a broad range of active requisitions, the Recruiter serves as an ambassador of the City by functioning as a talent advisor to business leaders and professionally represents the City’s interests to candidates.  The Recruiter applies their recruitment expertise to ensure an efficient, effective and fair recruitment process facilitated within the guidelines and policies set out by the organization.  The Recruiter is responsible for writing job postings, interview guides, testing as well as tracking and reporting recruitment information and data.  The Recruiter will contribute to the recruitment process to ensure exceptional service delivery to business leaders and candidates as well as maintaining hiring practices that are fair, equitable and welcoming of all and that provide equal employment opportunity to all qualified applicants.

The ideal candidate has a Certificate or Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration combined with a minimum 4-5 years as a Recruiter, preferably within a large complex unionized environment. Your demonstrated abilities in developing recruitment strategies along with your ability to develop relationships with Management level business leaders and candidates enabling you to gain trust and creditability as a recruitment expert.   We are looking for an excellent communicator who can provide exceptional customer service, explain and apply recruiting concepts, strategies and solutions to hiring Managers.  You are able to deliver high levels of service, managing sensitive and confidential information and your ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize competing demands under pressure with constant interruptions will help you be successful in this role.
